TA performance

I think i may preorder TA but before i buy it, i need an answer for this:
How is TA's performance? It same as DA? Or is it slower or faster? It's said that new textures take less memory (so they should better on older computer too). It was also said for DA and only after (was it 1.5?) the patch it became playable, and i fear it's same with TA.

What are your system specs? TA should perform just as well as the current version of DA (though more memory efficient) on an average system. If you're dangling off the bottom edge of the requirements though, it's hard to say.

Hmm... As well as DA? Well i just bought it.
My specs are within recommended except my video card is DX8 (Radeon 9200), whicg is reason for low performance when there is much stuff on screen but i mostly use iconic view anyway so no matter. New computer is on shopping list.

Yeah, a Radeon 9200 is going to be a poor performer no matter what. Pretty much any new machine currently on the market, so long as has a 'real' video card and not integrated video, should be just fine.

Yeah i know, integarted are horrible.
But the new computer isn't that important, and as i said, i can play Galciv2 fine, as long as i don't play the bigger maps. Loading times are too long then and anyway i like playing on smaller maps as the AI is better.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but a quick question, if I do pre-order the TA expansion, do I get to download and play with the beta? Never pre-ordered a GCII expansion before...
