Races

Are you only supposed to be able to play as a few of the DA races. If so, why? Usually an expansion adds races, it doesn't take them away.

They are slowly bringing all the races into the game for each TA Update, There is a new one scheduled for today which I believe will add two more races in TABeta3C. Eventually they will all me in there.

They need to create a unique tech tree for every race now. That's some kind of heavy work, so those race are added one in a time.

You do realize that you're only playing a BETA version of the expansion ? Don't compare it to the full product DA yet.
