Threw in my vote too, but I must say Supreme Commander looks like it might be an unstoppable juggernaught. Which is too bad, cause it wasn't all that spectacular =/

That's the problem. If more people knew about this game it would rank a lot higher.

Voted :) - For a turn based strategy game to be close to C&C3 (half their votes) is an awesome achievement. Especially if TA gets up their next year too!!

Exactly. Much more people play RTS rather than turn based strategies. And if you add the problem, that European players have - I mean no GC2 DA in stores and a lot of CnC 3 advertisements, it is a great score for GC. I voted for GC2.

If only those gamers knew of GCII they wouldn't be wasting their time on them others. They'd be wasting their time on GCII as is proper. :)

I voted for GCII, btw.

I was going to vote for PONG but it wasnt there, so i wet with CG2.

If you figure that our own poll on this site only has a total of less than 500 votes, i say GC is doing well. I dont know if enough people even own this game to ctch uo to SupreemeCommander (sounds dumb btw, lol).

Voted.

Turn based game play, for maximum enjoyment and comfort, with very little twitchy behavior depending on a sugar rush. :-)

Well SupCom might very well be my current favourite RTS (And in fact one of the few RTS's that involve any real strategy) but my vote obviously went to GC2. It's just... no contest, really.

That forum just seems to be a load of pro-Star Craft people flaming everybody else though... Why has Star Craft become so trendy? I tried playing for the first time in a decade recently and I got bored within half an hour.

Meh. Maybe I'm just fickle.

GC2 is catching C&C3

it sure is only another 1000 votes or so to go!  :D

(edit) opps, i can't read or type, i was looking at sup com, only another 100 votes to go for c&c3.
if we make all our family and friends vote we could catch c&c3 no problem!

The only 2 truely excellent games up there are SupCom and GalCiv2. World in Conflict? Give me a break on that one. C&C3? No thanks. The others, I won't even bother. I really like SupCom but GalCiv2 is far more superior. SupCom just gets too ridiculous, I mean units EVERYWHERE and you can't manage any of them. Online multiplayer is even worse, units everywhere! Way too overwhelming and stressful. Just too much going on and too fast to manage it all. I do like the game but man it nearly drives me crazy trying to play it sometimes. GalCiv2 wins in the end and I don't think its even close. Those votes don't show it but I think some here already explained why. I bet 5-10 years from now, no one will be playing any of those games up there but GalCiv2, people will still be playing it.

I think that after TA the devs need to run a on line marketing thing of some of the games websites like gamespot, or ign. Or just try to get the message out on what a great game it is.

Considering GCII:DA is a turn based game, (which is generally thought of as out of fashion), and is not even on sale in the shops outside the US I think it's done stunningly well to be number 3.

And to think I almost missed it, found a copy of GCII in the bargin bin at HMV Oxford Street, and downloaded all the rest. So pleased I found this game, can't commend it enough.

Hey guys, today's the last day for voting on that poll, and currently we're in the #3 spot, ahead of C&C 3 but behind World in Conflict.  If you haven't voted yet, do it now!  Tell your friends who play Gal Civ 2 to vote too.  We could still win this with a last-minute fan push  ;)

I played Stars! for 10 years (on and off) until GCII came out. TBS will be around for a long time to come.

Supreme Commander is a really good game in a lot of ways, and a real step forward for RTS (I see Sins of a Solar Empire has taken a lot of lessons from it). But, I voted for GalCiv because it actually runs properly on my computer. SupCom will only be a truly great strategy game next year when people have the hardware for it.

Love all the Total War games as well, but for whatever reason Kingdoms hasn't taken up as much of my time as Galciv by a long stretch. Shall have to go back to it sometime.

World of Conflict is also an excellent game, but modern warfare is not really my flavour - one for the army boys.

I noticed they left Beyond the Sword out of it, despite that also being a really good expansion pack. Civ 4's mod scene has really come on.

Ohhhh, so many brilliant games and so much work fighting for my time. I'm either going to have to start ditching friends or lose interest a couple of genres.

About 200 more votes and GCII takes 2nd place. Though, in my opinion its better then SupCom at the very least.
You can't win them all. All the time. But I think the momentum and sheer weight of GC II will outlast some of the titles on that list, no matter what is voted.

As my computer is too bad to play not only SupCom but alot of the other titles as well I voted for Dark Avatar.

Perhaps people don't know about it but if it comes 2nd, people will surely check it up.
