Looking for some modding info

I'm looking for information on adding new technologies to techtree.xml. What additional tags can be used in it, especially to use abilities from AbilityBonuses.xml. I've tried the links in this forum to I Mod Productions, but get error 404 messages from most of the links refering to that website. So any other guides would be greatly appreciated. As a final note, I appolgize for the appearance of this post ( made from within Stardock Central browser) the applet is ignore my attempts at formatting my text ,the enter key and throwing script errors.*sigh*

there is a mod found in the galciv2 library called tech edit with this you can add new techs with ease plus you add new weapons but youll need to the gc2 XML for that.I hpoe this helps you any.

Thank you foxthree, yes i've read that file and it uses 1 ability tag repeatedly as an example of making a hit point effecting tech. I'd really like to know how to use the other 29 abilities, in the same manner, too.

Macmatt, that works, mostly, but that forums modding links, go through www.i-mod-productions.com , manually editing the links appears towork for some links.
