Suggestion: One Per Planet Restriction

I would like the ability to build over a "one per planet" building.

I can see two examples of this happening:

1. Conquering a planet. I've seen some crappy buildings when I take over another civilization's planet. I can't think of any specific examples, but it would be nice to have the option to remove it.

2. Accidentally building the wrong building (or being more of an idiot). This may just be me, but I've accidentally hit Manufacturing Capital instead of Manufacturing Center. Since this is a project, it may not work the same way as other buildings. I played Krynn for the first time last night, and I got the bonuses backwards (I thought morale + economics instead of influence + economics) and built a Consulate on an approval tile. It would have been nice to build an Entertainment Center over it, then build a Consulate on a different tile.

I did the same thing as well.

I saw a Torian planet where they apparently thought an Omega Defense Center would be good to build on a +300% manufacturing tile. Yeah, I'd like to get rid of that.

...Well, I did get rid of it, along with the rest of the planet, with my Terror Star, but that's beside the point.

How about a Torian food structure built on a +300% bonus tile. Your newly conquored planet is forever stuck with a max food capacity of atleast 19 mt/week. I really hate it when they do that!

In any case, the ability to control how large your population grows would be a useful alternative to that problem.

Every year raise taxes, that planet will empty out first. So raise taxes for 3-4 turns and you will be fine. But yes a more perm. solution must be found.

Now that I'm playing the Torians, I'd like to build over the Central Mine at some point; I want it on a manufacturing bonus tile at the start, but not once I have Industrial Sectors.

I agree with the need to get rid of buildings already placed... Not only on my own planets, but especially a conquered planet. Especially if the planet was conquered due to a strategic position more so than their manufacturing capabilities. If we were taken over by aliens tomorrow, it's a pretty safe bet they'd wipe out a whole crapload of buildings just as collateral damage (invasions wouldn't be without a fight) as well as strategic destruction of certain buildings (such as the UN, White House, and Circus Circus in Las Vegas, etc...)

You could always invade with Tidal Disruption to have good chance of wiping out the improvements.
