Thanks for replying ill go one step at a time.

1) i load it from the start menu = stardock then stardock central

2) this loads the screen on the internet to stardock central

3) then i get a small pop up and it reads enter you gal civ 2 serial number loacted on the back of the jewel case (funny what is a jewel case) (remembering i got the gal civ 2 gold edition)

4) I put in the code which is on the sticker placed on the back of the manual called the 'Galactic civilisations gold CD key: XXXXX etc' (ive done it with and or without spaces or - and it says, "The serial number you have entered is invalid. Please ensure the information you have entered matches exactly from your order mail. Use the Lookup serial button to resend your account info to the email address u ordered under"

5) a note: i never ordered anything i bought the games both gal civ 1 and 2 from the retail shops. Ive also done the key in undercase and high case letters and no effect just the same message as in (4).

6) When i press ok and return to the prompt of (3) i cancel because it wont accept my serial number and it then closes and my stardock central updates appears and show the gal civ 1 altarian prophecy has an update.

7) i have an optioj of update now or update later on so i press update now

8) a pop up appears and says, "Your galactic civilisations altarian prophecy registration is invalid please check your email address and serial number are entered correctly with the register product dialog. Would you like to purchace registration now (yes) (no) (cancel)

So that is what i get for both gal 2 and gal 1. I had registered Gal civ altarian prohecy 2 years or so ago and its always downloaded updates etc. My email has not changed since this time (although i wish to change it asap due to the email being a university email and ive finished my degree at the uni so im going to loose the email in a month or so.

How can i register and how can i change my email address with you (ive got a new one now) and quickly is there a mod in gla civ 2 that can make all planets maximum tiled in a gigantic random generated game?

Serial and CD key in this case are interchangable terms for the same thing. It would be something like the format you describe (I'm not sure of the exact format used for Gold offhand).

You can change your email at any time. For registering GC2 Gold, yes, just register Dread Lords with the Gold serial then register DA with the Gold serial (this is because there's no special Gold entry, as it's just a DL+DA bundle).

Just enter the serial exactly as it is on the CD case.

Umm Brenton here look maybe my SDC has had the meat chomps and needs a ree boot or something. Because i tried to register the gal civ 1 and it wont accept the serial, and neither will gal civ 2 maybe i might have to wait until after christmas until one of the r n d boys can help me, thanks Kryo for helping
