GameSpy preview of Twilight of the Arnor

We love GameSpy

I can't say enough good things about GameSpy.  First, as an independent game developer, we don't have corporate overlords to keep us from saying politically incorrect things. So let me say this very plainly: Gamespy rocks.  They have always been quick to support games regardless of the size of the company.  They have no bias against games that lack multiplayer even though they are best known for their multiplayer software extensions. And their reviews and coverage are independent of advertising. We just love them.

Anyway, they have the latest internal build of Twilight of the Arnor up which has some features that aren't publicly available.  You can check it out here.

And I can imagine why you like Gamespy so much after reading the article!
Anyways, great read and I hope TOtA gets lots of coverage elsewhere too the upcoming monhts, cause it certainly deserves it.

I found this out when I went to war against them. As it turns out, the Arcean tech tree has almost no propulsion advances at all. Instead they can research planetary navigation centers that give a fleet-wide speed boost and impressive sensors that let them see enemies approaching from a long way off...

I've been playing the Yor a lot so I'm not sure if this is a typo or not. Do navigation centers give fleet-wide speed bonuses now?

Well... the term "fleet" could be used here as referring to all the Ships the Arceans have in their military... *shrugs

On a side note gamespot fired one of their editors because he gave a low score for a major sponsor's game.

Very good review and all the praise is 100% justified!
Can't wait to get my hands on that next build of TA...

And it's indeed great that they manage to keep so unbiased (in the sense of not being influenced by advertising).
