Bug or Feature?

I noticed an enemy transport approaching an undefended planet of mine so I rush-built a ship to defend it. The planet was successfully invaded the next turn and my new ship appeared in orbit -- belonging to the enemy.

I don't recall this ever happening in DL, I've only been playing DA for a few days so I don't know if this is normal or not.

Did the rush-built ship get built on the same turn it was attacked on? If so, what happened was the AI attacked the planet and took it over, and then the ship was built... for them, since it was their planet by that point.

Not a bug, nor feature. The rush-built ship doesn't appear until next turn. The enemy transport invaded when you hit turn - i.e, the same turn as you purchased the ship. Next week the ship is completed, but the enemy has the starport - so the enemy has effectively stolen your ship. I've done this against the AI before.

Note to self: when you rush build a ship on a threatened planet, make sure it's not better than anything the enemy has. Especially don't do what I did and give them a ship that was better than anything else I had.
