Kzinti Empire - offical empire thread

You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

"Kzinti flesh has a very strong and pungent taste. The weak among us are devoured by their litter-mates within a few moons of birthing. Only the swiftest and most ferocious of us survive to their first naming-day. Those not fit to survive will never live to perpetuate their inferior bloodlines. This is the natural law of the galaxy." - Kzinti Warrior

kzin6

"The meaning of life is the hot blood of your prey on your tongue, the meat that rends beneath your teeth, the corpse of your enemy left in the sun for the carrion eaters to finish, your defeated foe groveling in submission before you. That is what life is. We are the Kzinti, and we stronger, swifter, wiser, and more ferocious than any other race ever was or will be." - Kzinti philosopher

If your claws can grasp it, then it is rightfully yours. - Kzinti proverb

A salute to all those heroic t'kzintar who have made this empire a resounding success. Our conquests continue and the galaxy will never know peace!

Today the Kzinti Empire bestows upon Snarkotamus the title of Hero!  He has proven himself in battle and earned his dual-name.  The t'kzintar of the empire salute you! :congrat:

Three new recruits have also joined the ranks of our warriors.  Welcome to Lee2334, Phoenix61228, and Commando000!

Speaking of Devious Diplomatic Debauchery, I just put a painful pounding on the Thalans by spending my remaining BCs to buy about 5 techs from them just before I toasted their only planet with a spore ship. Sorry unsuspecting bug-soldiers never saw it coming.........

I do a variation of that. Right before I invade an AI with only a single planet, I sell them EVERY tech I have EXCEPT invasion techs. I make a bundle and then buy anything from them I need or want. Afterwards its 'next stop, obliteration'.

It's always good to buy/steal everything they have just before the final annihilation. :hot:

I join Dystopic in the ranks of the newly unemployed.  Thank you Bush administration for 3 lay-offs in 8 years!  It did allow me to submit my game for the current round of the Metaverse League first though... ;)

Here are a couple links over at the Galactic Core for the Battle Game and the Daily Trivia game.  Both are fun and quick to play. :)  More people have been playing both of them lately too.

How did you get hurt Neilo?  I've got 3 weeks of unused vacation time, so I've just been relaxing and having fun the last few days.  Tomorrow I'll start the job search in earnest.

Not really sure. I have had back issues for some years...i'm not a slim guy, and some years ago i dropped my weight way down, from where it was anyway, and my back cleared up. I guess it's a residual injury from that time.

I have a big bruise about the size of a football on my lower back....my back tends to lock up..for lack of a better description, at times i can't move it. Gotta have an MRI and an X-ray done tomorrow to try and find out what is happining, though the Doc seems to think i have some disc damage, be it bulging, or damagaed due to the weight i had gained.

I could stand to loose some too BTW, something that won't be easy with my back.....

Oh well..time to see if i can knock you off #3 on the ZYW list. I just missed earlier by about 1K...

:P

i wasn't fired, actually. almost wish i was (i could get unemployment). and i didn't quit. i'm still working. but basically i was told that i had to improve or they'd fire me. it takes a while to fire someone in a gov't job. but frankly, they're psychotic anyway. so now that i've slept a bit i actually feel good about it in some ways.

This esteemed honor obviously instills great fear into the e-creatures. They just crumbled before my fearsome wrath to the tune of a 78,750 point April 15 YZ Rout!.

Of course, I now feel compelled to say: "I still haven't been able to crack the 80k barrier, but I'm working on it."

Quiver and Quake in terror ye miserable furry creatures bumpling along the roadside to certain doom! Our civilization has just started looking into Hyperion Extermination Modules......

Nice conquest Snarkotamus!   (hmm....emoticons seem to be gone)  The ferocity of a raging rabid rodent is not to be underestimated. ;)

I dont remember, did I send you my 90k+ ZYW guide?

BAH!!

We in the Tyranny of Evil boast a 100K+ ZYW guide.

*ohh we're nit-picking now, your turn to do a 101K zyw guide.....lol*

Hehe...well I seem to have a higher ZYW record than you Neilo...  I'd say my guide works well enough. ;)

Ahh but....how many Kzin can score over 100K. Off the top of my head i make 4 tyrannts who are able to boast such a feat!!!!!

Our guide is supperior!!!!!

:P

Edit - Spelling (even if my spelling is not.....)

I'm not sure about that...Kzinti are perhaps less prone to boasting. ;)   I do know that I've scored over 100k about a dozen times with my method.  I bet our guides would turn out to be pretty similar in most ways.

Yeah id say so. I think i am up to about 6 or 7 100K+ games now. I am quite happy though that my new ZYW character, Winston Wolf, does not have a game under 90K.

He is climbing the ranks quite fast.

Nothing wrong with some boasting though, especially in a freindly taunting nature....:P

Oh..BTW..Anyone know what happened to the smilies. I cant use :P on every post for the rest of time.....

Well done mate, and considering you have done alot of the hard yards yourself, i'd say thats quite an effort.

Yup! Looks like those ZYW's are working out quite nice for you. I remember when you were posting that you couldn't score higher than 2K points and now look at you. And you've actually talked a member of the ToE to join your empire! But to be honest your dancing gecko man is making me hungry!!

Behold the true face of the Geckodon!!

Ain't he cute! Just look at his little buggy eyes!! And notice how he bows down before the evilness of the ToE. Either that or he's taking a dump, I don't known.

hey KP, DA and i were talking about D&D and wondering why there isn't some sort of "virtual gaming table" client out there, and started talking about how easy it would (theoretically be) to make one on our own.  well, i also found a program called Fantasy Grounds that's just that. there's a discussion i started in the ToE site under Gaming, Other, if you're interested.
