There is an active empire lower down the ranks that could certainly benefit from your enthusiasm and friendliness. It is once again rising in the ranks and only has a few members.  The Olympian Gods run by SilverBeacher I think would be a great option for you.  And in the spirit of full disclosure, I do have a character (Hyperion) in that empire as well.

As for #3...I have a question on that one.  Are you counting the revolution as the colonists being the US?

@Loup: since the colonists declared the "United States of America" in 1776, but the Revolutionary War did not end in a formal peace agreement until 1783, then yes, that would count as the first war between the US and GB.  The second being the War of 1812 (and as a side note, the Overture of 1812 is NOT an American song, or even about anything American; its actually about the Russian defeat of an invading Napoleon army)

now as for the square root of 49...i didn't know roots were square, i thought they were long, brownish, things found in the ground

personally i do, since the US declared itself an independant state and succeeded in its revolution. had they failed, it would have been a brittish civil war.

Attention everyone, I wanted make a Metaverse mod, but I need permission to have people's empires included, cause I'm making all of the playble civs based on the empires by rank, you know 1-12.

thats kinda cool Seth; I'd be willing to coordinate with you in setting up the mod if thats ok.  i do have some suggestions for you though

1) Get a member of the empire to help craft an actual "identity/personality" for you; wihle I don't discount your abilities, someone with 'insider' knowledge will be better able to help create a more 'real' feeling to an empire.  For example, KzintiPatriarch could lay out a pretty thorough 'theme' for the kzinti; just like almost any tyrant could for the Tyranny.

2) Realize that some of the top 12 empires are "dead" empires; sure they have members and a high score, but almost none are active and it may be almost impossible to contact anyone in them.   If that happens, have someone help you make a race that is similar to that empire, for example: The High Command Directorate (for the HCH); that makes it an 'original' idea.

3.) realize that mods, especially full mods, take some time.  The best mods can take months even. But if you put together a good product, it will get used.

4.) Wait for 2.0, you'll be able to do a complete ship line without having to get into the actual game

5.) Talk to Neilo, I'm sure if you ask really nice, he'll even create a subforum on his site so taht you can coordinate modding plans.

ya i agree with him i say we go with the most acctive empires The Kzin, Tarrany, the Gods, the Command, the Geckodons, and the Confederation and seence Quixen is back you can ask him to make the High Command. and we can probaly make up some of them to fell in the empty spots.

I'll ask Quixen about the HCH. I'd like to include the Diplomats so I'll talk to Lord Kona (if he is still around), I'll speak to Nelio about the ToE, Silver I'll talk to about the Olympian Gods, Harbone I'll talk to about the GSC, Freeman I talk to about the Confederation and KP I'll talk to about the Kzinti. But I'll take Silver's advice and wait for 2.0, also I have finish another mod I'm working on which is currently being delayed until this weekend although I might have to make it longer. Now each race will come with it's own ship style and tech tree, but each will be need to be done by a member of that empire or the leader (if he/she is around)

Also, I never saved any of the Geckodons' ships as templates plus I have too many. I need to know how to upgrade ship designs with out losing all of the compents.

Well when get it, are you willing to make ship style?  Also I need ideas for minor races! I've already planned on having one Seeker's empires to appear, but probaly will have to take the Dread Lords orPirates place since a lot of Seekers empires seem to spawn becuase of some event.

Of the inactive empires...Diplo's, HCH, Orcas..just finding a member who was part of that empire at the time of its height would do for a backstory i would think mate. There are plenty of Diplo's around still, even more so if you care to venture to the core. There are many HCH members around, though i do believe Quixen may be the oldest former member of the HCH, i know he was there before i joined. As for the Orcas...Playjeff was an Orca at some point i believe...though you may need to buy a beer in that case...

You certainly have an interesting idea there mate, would this be a MV friendly mod? It would stand to reason that MV players would be more interested in using such a mod than perhaps the rest of the community.

What if you're outside of the US? I can tell you what war cost Denmark it's status as a major european power, and what two 'Reichs' came before Hitlers promised Third, but not the third question you asked (not without looking at the below posts ).
