You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

Hi Mag. I usually don't test for score that early either. I did it this time hoping for something in the range of 300k.

I can use the 240k as a benchmark to beat next game, so there are some advantages to sloppy play. :)

I nearly always have to go through a rush-buy coloniser phase to fill in the gaps.

Me too, but it's normally later in the game and with only a handful of colony ships. I probably had to colonize over 100 planets this game. I just built the colonizers as I went along for the most part.

Buying ships can be a pain, so I prefer to build them when I can. That might set my score back some, but I think it's worth it to not have to drudge through that kind of tedium. Besides, if it ... Ohh! I see something shiny! Gotta go! ;)

Thanks Motti! I decided to make run for it, and did a couple dozen ZYWs in one evening to get there. I've been there for about a week, but I bet you or Mag or someone else will grab it back sometime soon!

The food-animal known as Harborne does not understand the nature of the Kzinti or of the galaxy. Peace is not the natural state of the universe. Peace only leads to stagnation and decadent ruin. The Stargate Command has become the 10th most powerful empire in this galaxy, yet you speak as if your warriors are grass-eating cowards afraid to fight!

Even those empires that are friends of the Kzinti, we have many battles with. All understand that this is how it is, and will always be. You would be wise to remember this. Should you fight with bravery and honor when we meet in battle, the Kzinti will remember your fallen warriors on our stories and devour their flesh to honor them. If they are cowardly, their bones will be left to bleach in the hot sun.

They also do not appear to understand the number 1 rule of diplomacy - negotiation is best done from a position of strength! If not, then you better have something very big and juicy to offer  ;)

I was trying to bring peace between our two Races but it seems your head is filled with two many murderous thoughts to recognize a good offer when you see one we will show our power by invading your worlds capturing your leaders and sending them to a cold dark cell at Area-51 on Earth until you are put on trial for your crimes

The pen is mightier than the sword! Just ask KP how his most recent conquests have been achieved - I think you'll find more "big stick diplomacy" has been used than actual fighting.

What you do with the subjugated foe afterwards, of course, is a different matter entirely - there is always plaenty of room at the slave canyons  :D
