Trying to update to 1.8

I just bought the gold edition with The Dark Avatar and I tried to update using stardock and instead of automaticaly updating it directs me to where I can buy it ......again. I updated to the latest version of stardock so.....WTF is going on ???????

Also, if Stardock won't work with the dark avatar expansion how do I get the 1.8 patch ?

You need to register your serial in the tools menu->register products window of SDC.

Stardock Central does work with Dark Avatar. Make sure you've registered the key by going to Tools -> Register Products, then select the appropriate product from the Product combo box. (There are individual entries for Gal Civ 2 and expansions, do not use Games Subscription).

The first thing I did when I install Dark Avatar was register it when it asked me too.
I guess the right hand at Stardock does'nt know what the left is doing.....anyways I registered it again directly with Stardock and now it does update to 1.8......thanks guys !
