A Shipyard 'bug' that has been around for ages...

Now don't shoot me for posting this, since we all know if it, but if this were fixed it would make me buy Twilight of the Arnor in an absolute heartbeat.

Since the original version of GalCiv, the shipyard pieces have been... imperfect.

Nearly every piece has minor flaws in their design and hardpoint attachment. For example, the 'big flat beam' piece that is integral to any starship design, has a very noticeable 'curved' shape in it due to a modeling defect. Other parts, when built symmetrically, do not line up properly and end up giving ships a lopsided look.

I know it's a minor issue but it's something that has always been a major pet-peeve of mine.

Rather than spending time fixing that, wouldn't you prefer the developers spend that time to make a multiplayer option or a longer campaign or somthing else interesting?

Well, they already said 'No, we aren't making Multiplayer, stop asking for it' so...
However. I can see both sides of the issue decently well. Yeah, it would be nice to have perfectly shaped pieces for ship building. However. It's not the most important issue here.

also for what it's worth, while many of the pieces are asymetrical, i've found it can be ameliorated a great deal with KHSM bu using the invisible offsets, and anchoring everything to a common hardpoint cluster. it doesn't work for MV, but i don't both designing pretty ships for MV games.
