Apparent influence glitch

I was playing Drengin in TotA, and things were progressing normally, but suddenly on one particular turn my influence spread out of my corner over the whole galaxy and my population and income also shot up. I won a cultural victory before even building my first armed ship. I can post two autosaves if it helps.

There also was an anomaly in this game (which was discolored - a civilization graveyard) that no survey ship could pop, and it had the effect of shutting down auto-survey.

I read elsewhere that the Drengin influence problem had been noticed and was slated for fixing in the next release. Did you notice if there was a survey ship in the same spot as the busted anomaly? Sometimes survey ships hit a wormhole and end up in the same space as an anomaly. They don't pick it up, and other survey ships cluster around, unable to resist the lure of the anomaly. You can kill the survey ship that's on the anomaly and grab it normally afterwards.

My mistake on the bug - thought I had read the known list.

You were right on the survey ship - I checked and there was one there, which is why I at first thought it was discolored. Hopefully that situation gets fixed at some point so it no longer crops up.
