Metaverse posting rejected out of the blue

I've never had a problem with a metaverse post, but all of a sudden tonight, my highest-scoring game ever has been rejected. This is infuriating. I'm not aiming for a top spot, but I do like to see a history of all my games and especially how I have gone from low scores to higher scores over time.

I think this has to do with the TA beta, because all games before I installed it had no trouble posting to the metaverse, whereas this game was started before I installed TA and finished after the installation.

The exact message:

(12) Your game submission was rejected because the application serial number does not match the serial number on the Metaverse server.

Would you like to try posting your results again?
End of quote

Given that the only serial number changes I've made lately were when installing TA, this message seems to support my hypothesis.

Just double-checked my account settings here on gc2.com and the serial number there was different than what was in SDCentral. Not sure how this happened. Emailed myself the serial info and the numbers were again different. I figured the safest bet was to input the serial data from the website, but that didn't fix the error.

Just now went back to my account data here on gc2.com and again the serials are different. Not sure what's going on, but my serial data just changes every time I look at the "Registrations" tab on my account info page.

I had this happen before. You will mostly likely never be able to post that game.

I would suggest that once you think it's all sorted, take one of your unused character slots, start a game using it and then simply retire to see if your posting is working again. You can then just clear scores on that secondary slot (being sure to NOT clear your main character!)

Now I'm even more confused.... If this is an issue with the Metaverse serial, then how do I create a new character to test things out? I mean, what serial would I enter for the new character? And why isn't there an option on my existing character to edit the serial number?

I really don't want to have to ditch this game, either. It was a huge game (for me) - best score, first Iconian Refuge win, and way more time investment than most of my other games have been.

I've had a serial issue once or twice when dealing with the meta and my characters and even getting the serial sent and all didn't help. The only thing that always seem to get it back right was to input my original serial either from the DL jewel case or the very first one issued for DA(If you bought it seperately), which for some reason is different than the one displayed here.
Not sure if this helps you any, but I know how fustrating it can be to lose all that time and effort. Good Luck and if all else fails contact [email protected] and see if they can help you out.

Email support. I went through this entire mess without TA. Good luck.

What I meant was after you think it has been resolved via e-mail support, you will want to test that it works going forward. A secondary character is good for this testing.

When I went through it, I ended up using a serial number issued by support and abandoning my original.

Ah, okay then. I'll send 'em an email, thanks!

DethAdder, I made all purchases online. I'm not sure if I can find the true, original serial I was issued, but maybe my email archives would have it.... I guess I'll try that out before emailing support, just in case it helps.

EDIT: Updating all serials in SDCentral didn't help. I checked my original emails and put in the serials for the original gold edition purchase as well as the token purchase (total gaming subscription as they call it). Double-checked in the game menu's "update serial" option that the serial was correct. Guess I'll have to go bug support after all. Thanks for all the suggestions anyway!
