Question for Stardock concerning TA beta 1

First off I'd just like to say what a great job you've all done with TA - even at this early stage you can tell its final will be awesome!

The question is simple - already there are several posts about minor glitches and typos (I've posted one already!) is this something that is useful at this point because it is still very early days in the beta or are more serious bugs required first?

It might be handy to have a pinned post for the TA beta bugs as alot of the posts are 'going south' real quickly.

I really like this idea. It would be especially useful for those things that aren't worthy of a smartexception and all that jazz. I.E. Things like typos and missing descriptions that would be nice to fix, but still stuff you don't want to get dozens of bug reports on.

I second Purge's second re a dedicated thread to collect non-crash bugs.

In my silly dreamworld, I'd also like to see a web page that had a dynamic update connection to Stardock's internal bug tracking so we could see the things that the devs already have listed.

I don't expect to see sensitive data like bug priority, resolutions, fix remarks, etc., but bug titles and maybe initial descriptions could help us know not to bother the busy coders with the Nth mention of a minor glitch.

Basically I'm looking for an Already Logged page. No biggie if it is *really* long; CTRL+F is still your friend in most browsers.

I also think we need a separate TA forum shortly.

A nice post from the devs with a list of known bugs found in the forums would be handy. Easily checked before you post it would stop multiple posts about the same issue without the need for a growing stuck thread.

well, perhaps one of us should take the initiative. i mean, they've got to be busy developing the actual game; if someone took it upon him/her-self to start a new thread as an epicenter for TA bugs, and edited the OP regularly to keep an updated and condenced list of identified bugs, it might be a great resource for the Devs and a great place players could turn for answers. we might even be able to get Kryo to sticky it.

i'll volunteer if no one else is super-interested, but i'm not sure i could edit the OP of this proposed thread on a regular basis (probably not even daily).

I'm sorta surprised no one from stardock has responded to this - they are normally quick to answer any query! (I think thats why we love them so!!)

@ dystopic - well - its an idea, if we can get no official response then go for it - I already have a minor list of bugs but chances are someone already listed them somewhere!

We've been working on fixing some of the more glaring issues to release in a Beta1a tomorrow.

What we can do is start a sticky thread for bugs, and at the top put issues from Beta 1 that have yet to be resolved

Kids at the door...happy haloween everyone!!!

Excellent! This way you don't get 1500 bug e-mails telling you that you misspelled a word.
