Questions about TA beta 1

A few more questions regarding TA beta 1. Most of the basic buildings have gotton a makeover. Is this expected to continue to the more advanced buildings as the betas continue or are the new buildings just going to be what they are? The Imense Galaxy seems to have things a lot more spread out than the other galaxies which is somewhat to be expected however, in the live chat the other night and in previous posts this seemed to be light on the star system side being that it sounded like this Imense Galaxy would be laid out simular to the Gigantic galaxy but larger. Also Just like the systems are spread out resources also seem spread and hard to come by.

I second the question - I love the new art, but upgrading my entertainment network to an ultimate stadium was a bummer - the graphics suddenly had no character!

Not a huge issue, but it would be neat for each race to have a 100% full makeover.

I am about 3 game years into an immense galaxy and i could not agree with you more Seilore. My setting's are abundant all, but the mini map looks more like i had set loose clusters not scattered, and there seem to be no more planets than i would have got on a DA game with similar settings.

I do recall Frogboy mentioning the other night in chat about the possibility of thousands of planets in the immense galaxy. Perhaps there is a cap on the planet number for the beta, but i would assume they (the devs) would want us playing the immense galaxies with thousands of planets to check on the memory issue affecting those types of big planet/galaxy games.....

Over all though very good, the new UI takes some getting used to....

I'd expect that the planet counts at the moment are going to be on par with DA 1.8c. Memory is probably going to continue to be the limiting factor until the new planet texture system is completely in and the old one is eliminated.... with that hog gone, things should really be able to open up.

That all being said, i have allready noticed an improvemnet in memory allocation. The game seems to be returning memory this time around far better than it did in DA. If there is more improvements to come than i think immense immense galaxies should be fine. Perhaps a lift in the star cap could be a possability.
