Has anyone else spotted this similarity?

Bad guys in DA: Drengin. They enslave everyone. However a subspecies, the Korath, has now arisen to prefers exterminating everyone to enslaving them.

Rewind fifteen years: Bad guys in Starcon 2: Ur-Quan. They enslave everyone. Subspecies: Kor-Ah, who -- you guessed it -- prefer extermination. The Kor-Ah even had a dark grey sphere of control on the map, and their ships were black.

Not to mention the whole impenetrable planetary shield thing (in GC2 -- a protection shield erected by humans; in SC2 -- a "slave shield" erected by Ur-Quan).

Definitely a very direct reference to that classic game. SC2 was one of the best games ever. Even just playing the "melee" part and going head to head with all the different ship types was a ton of fun too. Launch fighters!

I have tried, but cannot find a copy of SC2 anywhere. I miss that game. Anyone know where one can be found?

there is a remake of the game called Ur-Quan that is free and works under windows Xp.
they couldn't call it SC 2 because of legal reasons


I'll post the link tonight from home if someone else doesn't find it before hand.
