Can not load saved games wo crashing after a certain lenght of time

I have started 3 games and all have ended with this bug. These games are 1.80b and 1.50.128 game versions - I just installed 1.80c and 129 - and still can not load my old 1.80b 128 game. If I start a new game under 1.80c and 1.50.129 will I still have this problem? - The game is unplayable with this bug.

1.80c hopefully should prevent the issue from happening in new games, however it can't recover saves that already crash.

OK - Beyond annoying - The game still not will load saved games wo crashing to desktop. Please this ASAP as the game is worthless wo being able to save and load games.
