New Strategy: Altarian Turtle

I was looking for a way that used Good Ethos for it's advantages other than the reduction in colony maintenance fees.

Stats:

Best for 9 races + Tiny Galaxy
Altarian(Super Organizer, +20% research, +30% econ, +20% research, +10% morale, +10% social)

You build a bunch of research buildings and focus on the research line until you've gotten up to discovery spheres. Trade the research techs for opponents. Then you research Xeno Ethics choose good and research up to concepts of righteousness until you build the Hall of Empathy.

Then you build freighters and trade with all the other civs. You max out the trade routes with starbases.

You use your research and econ lead to build super ships and then proceed to win the game.

I've been doing this all along. The Altarian abilites work well for my style of play, allowing me to keep the peace through tech trading while waiting for a better economic position to actual create protective forces.

Tyler, what political party do you prefer with this strategy?

Federalists, Technologists and Universalists all look decent for this. Federalists is obvious. Technologists gives you an extra boost to your already-big research abilities. Universalists gives you a 5% Econ bonus, 10% PopGrowth, 10% Defense and 25% Luck.
