Help with Meta account posting/error message #12

Hi all,

Just a bit confused, I setup my account, created a character with the Dark Avatar serial number, and when I login to play a metaverse game and try to post afterwards, it gives error#12 saying that the serial used in the metaverse server does not match my own serial. I just bought everything yesterday so I know I have everything installed correctly... am I supposed to use the DreadLords serial number to play and post DA games? If this is the case how would I go about deleting or changing the serial for my character...Kinda lost...

IIRC characters should be created with the DL serial (they'll be able to take both DL and DA games). I'd contact [email protected] for assistance in getting that sorted.

Ok sent then a email, hopefully there will be a quick turnaround. Thanks Kryo. BTW do you know if I am able to load saved games to post to the metaverse once this problem is fixed?

Well, you should get an automated response immediately, but the office is closed on weekends so you won't get a real response until Monday at best.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to submit the game or not--that really depends if the serial(s) are stored in it or not at creation, which I don't know.

Well its Tuesday now and no email back, and no change to the support ticket. Is there another way I can reach someone, because I'd like to participate in the metaverse like everyone else.

I had support pull your ticket up specifically, so you should have a response sometime today.

If anyone else does what I did, they CANNOT delete your character (apparently no one can?), you will just have to make a new one.

Just a heads up for all... use your DreadLords serial!

Okay so followup, since Ive been away for a bit. This problem still persists, so I've mailed back support. Very frustrating after playing a gigantic game that I cannot post to metaverse. Sigh...

Your Ticket has been responded to, not sure but we may be having an issue with the Metaverse. I am checking with our Metaverse guru for any database issues.

I'm now getting the same error message, even though I am a long-time metaverse submitter, and have never had this problem before. I guess I'll send an e-mail to support and see what happens.
