More Diplomatic options in TA

There are a few things i would really like to see in TA.

For starters, when i get attacked i dont want my allies to jump in already, if its a small enemy i want those planets for myself. However i would like an option in the diplomatic screen to request backup while the war has already begun. At that point they have the option to either obey or break the alliance.
Same goes for the IA, they wont request my help untill they feel its needed.

Maybe some more options on how to help an ally.
So that you dont have to declare war on a certain clan just to help your ally, but maybe give them a certain % of your income to help (like 10% or so?). Kinda like a third treaty that only allies can have.

That last option is already useable in a way- you can give them ships.

Well, you can't blame your allies for having a cunning intelligence. Each civilization, while loyal to their allies, still wants to be the dominant race in the universe. That means grabbing your piece of the cake.

I guess.

That's why you blockade before you wipe out another race... Don't let your allies get ships through.

As mentioned in a thread I started, I want more diplo options as well! More interaction with the AI would be great!

I'm going to have to 2nd this: it seems like there really aren't a whole lot of options short of giving money to a race/etc...

One thing I don't understand is why I can't demand peace on another Races part w/out submitting my own peace treaty at the same time? don't understand that.. AND... why cannot I not ask the other races to attack other races freely.. almost everytime I try to see if I can get one race to go to war with another race, when I choose the "attack other race option" during 'negotiations', it's usually blank = ?.......

I am a super noob, so if some of that ^ seems silly/ignorant, please excuse my noobness.

There are two "types" of peace you can ask for: peace treaty with a race you are at war with, and brokering a peace treaty between two warring AIs. If you are talking to a civ you are at war with, it MAY only come up with option #1 (not sure, anyone else know?), but if you are not at war with them, a list of civs they are at war with will appear, and you can choose which war to settle. Note that many wars can only be settled from one side (ie if the Drengin are crushing the Arceans, you have to get the treaty from the Drengin, not the Arceans).

Getting AIs to declare war is relations-dependant. I believe their relations with the entended target must be "neutral" or worse before that target will show up in the "attack" listing.
