Stardock will be closed for Easter weekend starting on Friday, April 3rd and we will be returning on Tuesday, April 7th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time, but expect delays in responses during this time.

ship movements

Most of my games I get this problem.

I have ships that move at 9. And all of a sudden their movements drop to 2. I know some starbases might affect movement but there is no sb anywhere and still my ships lose movement poits. they go from 9/9 to 2/2

Anybody know why this happens?

1. They got stuck in an asteroid field. But this usually drops movement to 1, not 2.

2. They entered Yor territory with their Super Ability 'Super Isolationist', and a military starbase is also somewhere in the same sector beyond your vision, which is armed with an Interdictor Beam module.

3. You upgraded your ships and the upgraded designs don't have engines.

I think everyone's done #3 at least once before, I know I've done it once, and it ended up turning a quick conflict into a drawn out battle when I had to scrounge the funds up to re-upgrade my attack fleet again
