Hey all. I am working with Freespace 2 models in 3ds Max 8. The tutorial I am looking at tells me that GalCiv 2 will not understand 3ds Max's rotated textures feature, that you need to manually rotate them. So to try to fix this, I opened the texture files in GIMP and rotated them, saved with a new name, and tried to apply them to the appropriate surface on the model. The first one I tried to apply to was the long brown strip in the middle on the top of the ship. However, when I did this, it seemed to mess up all the materials; when I did Render, none of the materials rendered at all, and I could only see a grayscale model. If anyone who has experience with 3ds Max could help me by telling me how I can apply textures to surfaces in order to simulate 3ds Max's rotate feature on the model so that the textures will appear correctly in GalCiv2, I'd appreciate it.

Here are the model and material files, should you desire to poke around with them. You may also notice that the brown strip in the middle I mentioned trying to apply to earlier in the post is itself not rotated properly by 3ds Max. It is supposed to appear as the other portions of the ship of similar color. If anyone knows why that may be happening, I'd welcome that information too.
