my wish list for galciv3

i know that this is probable early and there will probable be an official thread for this. but i have been thinking about this for a while and i have mentioned it once or twice.

what i would like to see added to this game are missions for individual ships.

these missions could challenge the player by any number of ways.

the benefits would be

1 experience for the ship
2 credits for the empire
3 new colonies for the empire
4 legendary officers, crews.
5 alignment adjustment.

the downfall of failure would be the oppisites of the above and or other ideas that could be added.

this way i think the game could be more fun and you can exercise more than one area of the brain.

Poor AI! It's going to end up with a knot in its processors!

I'd like to see the option of having the player take control of turn-based ship-to-ship combat whenever a space battle comes up.

But I don't honestly know how popular such an idea would be.

It would be nice if some of those benefits were implemented as game features, but I'm not entirely sure where you're going with individual missions for ships. Isn't the scale much to large for that? Not to mention the question of who these missions would be against, unless you mean to treat ships as sort of NPCs you set against your enemies via. missions as a complete replacement of the way you fight wars at the moment.

yes

as a complete replacement of the way you fight wars

not really

just thought it might add a little more to it than going from planet a to planet b to planet c.

I would love that. I would also want turned based combat for planetary invasions as well.
