Suggestion: Issac Asimov's Foundation (mod)

Has anyone read Issac Asimov's Foundation Series? I think it's pretty good myself.   I was thinking to do a mod for it! (I would my self but I can't do mods none the less a total conversion!   ) Even in the normal version I find myself naming planets after plats in the game. E.G. Trantor, Comprelleon, Auroua, and my personal favorite Terminus. Tell me what you think. And someone please do It! I'll download it!

Long, long time ago, in a city a little ways away... only made it through the original trilogy and found it a fun read. Computers with dials and vacum tubes, "atomic" blaster... heck atomic everything... atom bombs small enough to fit in your mouth.

Well, it seems to me this would be one easy mod for someone to cut their teeth on, eh? The ships do not need to be modeled (none of this has been made it to movie or TV anyway) so the standard ship parts could be used.

Planet names could be culled from the internet. There is no need to rely on just the foundation novels either since Asimov tied a number of his previous books into the same "universe".

Races were pretty much just human factions, I do not recall them all... and never made it through the end of the series but I heard robots were discovered when humans rediscovered Earth. No aliens what so ever. Editing the names and stats, maybe throw in some portraits.

With modeling out of the way, it looks like just a bunch of text editing.

Sure, you can do it. Or you can just scrap that idea and come up with a "customracer original". After all, ask not what your modding community can do for you, ask instead what you can do for your modding community.

I usually play as a research heavy custom race called The Foundation (obviously meant to be the first foundation, not the second one).

But But But, I don't know how to Mod.  (at least not on that level (almost total conversion) of Modification) Is it correct grammer to double perenthse like that?

I liked the Foundation series. I don't mod, though. Sounds like it would be a good one.

I have only read Prelude to Foundation and Foundation's Edge, and from what i can tell you'd only have a handfull of 'races.'

P.S. Thanks for ruining it for me mswaim!    (About the robots on Earth)
