Dark Avatar Download SLOW

Sorry about this. But, I can't figure out where else to post. I just bought the Twilight of the Arnor expansion pack (which includes Dark Avatar) and am trying to download the Dark Avatar expansion pack into my GC II game from Stardock Central. At a guess, the download speed looks like it's averaging 25 KB/s. At that rate, it'll take me about 3 hours to download this thing. I've tried changing the Stardock Central server, restarting Stardock Central, and rebooting. Nothing makes any difference. Is there something else I can try to speed up this download?

Well, I just had to grin and bear it. It took 3-1/2 hours. But, everything downloaded and installed fine. Off to play.

Same here, I just bought the expansion bundle and put it on a new computer. Downloading the whole ball of wax took quite a while. The DA download ran at only 25KB/sec. Everything else ran at 325KB/sec. Seems a bit odd.

A network issue was found to be causing the slow downloads of DA and has been fixed, so it should now be going full speed like the other downloads.

Where are you, what sort of speed are you getting, and how fast do the other downloads go?

I've been having an issue with Dark Avatar so I thought I would rule out a corrupt download by re-installing the game. The download speed was good me the second time.

Sorry. This is a little OT, but Twilight of the Arnor (which isn't even out yet) comes with Dark Avatar? Say what?

There was a special combo deal (not sure if it's still valid--it was in a mailer that went out a few weeks ago).

IIRC, the only way I could access the deal was through that email's links. Just going to the Stardock store didn't give me that option. Since the email came out in late August and said "limited time," I'm assuming it's no longer valid. You could try writing Stardock and asking.

I went for that deal through an email Stardock sent me. I think it saved me about $20 as opposed to buying each expansion separately. I bet they'll send you that email if you ask them.

The combo deal is currently available via the Stardock store.
