I was anticipating it since they asked us for some ideas on the espionage system. Even if this expansion dosnt mention "espionage" on this site but it does in gamespot's interview. Could be minor changes but eventually there going to have to re-work it. As far as I'm concerned, this expansion is amazing since we finally have some kind of an editor along with other features. Wow ! and thanks ...

I really missed something here (it seems everyone already celebrated)'was waiting for the 1.7 update and then suddendly saw this. That's great news!
The espionage might not been updated, anyway I have my own strategy how to deal with and how to take advantage out of it...even if sometimes I wished I could switch it off...but there will be plenty of new stuff.

Unique techs and weapons for each civ will definitively bring a hell of scary challenges and an integrated editor will be fun as well (despite the good work some people here on the forum were investing to build nice working tools).

What I do not understand is the thing with the "Terror Stars"..it's about a new civ or a new event?

Great, thanks a lot for this expansion

My best guess is it's a constructed item. All depending on it's ramifications of it's attack, I'd expect it to take weeks and many constructors to build one. Perhaps a full-fledged military star base can get upgraded "ala the way asteroids get upgraded) and then eventually....BOOM.

Terror stars were ultimate weapons in the first PC Galactic Civilizations release. They were upgrades space stations that could destroy stars, thereby destroying the planets.

They were very slow, only 1 parsec per turn and had to be protected in route. I only used them a couple of times, and only late game when I was trying to mop up a military victory and did not want to waste troops on small worlds.

I don't know how I feel about them coming back, I guess it depends on how they are implemented. Not that it's a deal breaker for me... guess I'll be off to buy more tokens.

Big badaboom? I hardly can imagine how....or wait, you can build such a devastating machine in the middle of an enemy empire and once the thing is ready it's going to boom out and devore slowly the empire from inside out, it's planets and everything?
Nevermind, we will find out...
