How the hell can I update GalCiv 1 and 2 without an internet connection. The only internet I have is at work, and I usually can download any patch I need onto a flash drive and take it home. As GalCiv is the ONLY game I own that I can't update, any help would be much appreciated

A quick solution. Just bring your puter to work hook it up download everything and bring it back home. LOL

Well, looking here https://www.galciv1.com/download.asp you have a stand alone patch for the 1.2 version of GC1. But there is a more recent version avaiblable through SDC.

You should be aware that the latest version of GC2 requires an activation. A procedure is available to do the activation on an offline computer

1) Install SDC on an online machine (keep a copy of the SDC installer handy).

Does this require having administrator rights on the online machine? If this is the case, there may be cases where people are unable to have such machine available with a broadband connection.
