Graphics Going out of Control, Goes Blank when mouse moves to edge

Hi,

I'm having some big issues with graphics in the game (Dread Lords and Dark Avatar). I'm an Nvidia Geforce 7600 GT on Windows XP. At first I thought it was my video drivers, so I upgraded those. The problems I was having were fixed, but now it's acting up again.

I also have my computer in dual monitor display with my HD Television. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Basically 2 very annoying and severe bugs happen. The first is that graphics will go out of control, in a wild way. It's like they are being "sped up". For example, in those small ship screens where the ship rotates, it looks like the ship is rotating a million miles an hour.

The other problem is moving around the map with the mouse. If my mouse goes "off-screen" in any direction, which is supposed to move the map, the game positions the screen WAY out of range. I have to click the mini-map to recenter the screen, which takes a few sections because it's "moving" to the location on the map. This suggests that the scrolling is going extremely fast and my location is very far off the actual game board.

Both issues seem related with graphic speed - it's going way too fast. Is this a common problem? How can I fix it? Thanks!

Planets and ships spinning out of control is most generally due to the use of an Athlon 64 x2 CPU without updated CPU drivers. If this the case with your machine, download and install the AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (x86 and x64 exe) file found at the bottom of this page.
