Super Abilitiies

I am quite new to the game and am playing my third game as the Drath. The first two were as the Arcaens and the Korx, whose superabilities were easily noticeable and made a large impact on my game (I got very, very rich off trade ). The Drath superability, however, is not noticeable at all to me. I have tried talking to other civs and asking them to go to war, and the only way they'll say yes is with substantial bribes (and then they make peace quickly after doing very little damage to each other). I could accomplish the same thing with the Korx, and was better able to afford it. If the Drath ability makes people kill each other, why am I the only person the AIs have spontaneously attacked??

Do you have a military? If not, you will get attacked by the comp A LOT. The Drath ability does help in getting wars started. Your bribes seem a little cheaper, and you can also get races to war even when they have a higher level of relations with someone. Example: The Terrans and the Altarians are "Neutral" toward one another. As the Korx you pay the Altarians 1000 BC to go to war. As the Drath, it might be 500 BC, just making up numbers. BUT, as the Drath I have also noticed that you can get people to war even when their relations are Warm, Friendly, etc. Doesnt work too well when they are Close. The reasons they end the wars so fast might be that one or the other pays to end it, or they might not have much of a military to begin with. Getting 2 non-military races to war wont last very long.

Well, I had no military at the time. I went on to crush them (the Yor, poor fools- that's the second time in as many games, but this time I offered them no peace treaty).

As far as I can tell, you're telling me that the Drath superability is not that much use. Most of the races refuse to fight at the moment, due to treaties and trade and relations- wish there was a function to sabatage their relations. Put that in the next update, Stardock! I had to settle for making the Drengi attack the Terrans, which was not satisfactory in the least as the Arceans intervened immediately for the Terrans. Everyone is too bloody friendly this game.
