StarDock Central not detecting GC2 Gold install

Hi there,

I've been playing GC2 Gold since it was released at retail (I have the CD version), but only today did I setup my Stardock Central account, and registration appears to have gone just fine. EXCEPT when I view the 'games' section, I see purchased software listed as 'Galactic Civiliazations 2' and Dark Avatar is listed under that heading as well... but they are both listed as not having any current installation.

So when I click DA to download the new 1.6 release, it tells me that I don't have GC2 installed... would I like to download it?

I tried changing the paths to see if Stardock Central would detect my install, but nothing so far. Is there something I've misssed somewhere?

BTW... GREAT work on this game!

Might be a registry entry issue. The simplest solution in any case, if you have fast internet, is to just download them both anyway (there have been some minor updates to DL as well since Gold's release besides).

Solved... File under: User Error! Don't let this happen to you.

I decided to uninstall/re-install from the CD-Roms, and during the setup I came to the step where you enter the CD key numbers... and it says you can SKIP this step. Then I remembered that indeed I had skipped that step on my last install! (I could have just updated the key if only I'd remembered!)

So I entered it this time, Stardock Central detected the install. Updated to 1.61 easy and fast. All my game saves were still right there.
