Doesn't the title says enough?

I believe you may be taking too many abilities. They give you 15 points but I think you can only use 10. Try that.

Thanks. I'll try to remember that. Also, how can I put my cstom races into the game for other people in the metaverse games?

After trying my custom race in the way I was advised: It didn't work

you also cant use mods, but somebody else will also help with suggestions as well. One further note, it may sound stupid but make sure you got yourself a character picked from your profile in the top right hand corner.

If you have previously modded a race before that may be still in there. Always clear your custom race before creating a new one, there is a clear button down the bottom of the screen somewhere. Also deleting the prefs file located in My Games/GC2DarkAvatar my help. (My Games/GalCiv2 for Dread Lords) This will return all settings to default iirc.

Ensure you don't have the mods enabled box in the options screen ticked too.

I think you can use all 15 points. I have a Meta game with a custom race and it didnt say anything about tripping the cheat flag, damn i hope it is not going to be a dead game, though Kryo or Cari would be better qualified to answer that.

Hope this helps!

Yeah, if you're playing on 1.6, you should get a notice on reloading your save if it's been flagged. If it's not doing that, then you should be safe.

Yea mate, the my custom race, the Arquillian Regime, uses the full 15 points, its on hold atm so i can do a game for Purge's tourney but it never said anything when i started it. With 1.6 when i reload if it is a cheat at least it will tell me. If you have Stardock central 1.6 is on there...it's a nice step up from the vanilla version too...
