Alt abilities? Such as Alt Cost

So the galactic guide book uses AltCost (a quality on the survey module)

Is there an Alt any quality? or a listing of the few there is?

I want to place an alt speed on an engine class so that if one researches a later tech your Current engines will catch up to your new engines automatically...

No. I'm not sure if AltCost can be applied to any other items (if it can, it'll probably still be linked to the galactic guide book), but beyond that, there are no other similar values.

actually no. It can be done with other galactic achievements

for example I was able to make one called (with internal name changed)

Dalek Battle Computers
Which I used to reduce Psyonic weapon cost by half.

Oh well I was really hoping there could be 'altweapon' or 'altspeed' for my new tech tree

I've been trying to get gravity accelerators' ability onto a non achievement, IE a Super Project... but can't seem to the moment I change the class of the good...

Do you know the speed bonus rules for improvements... for example I tried with Hyperion Shipyard and well that didn't work either sadly.
