Error patching GC2

"The module you have requested is no longer available."

Hi,

When I try to update my GC2 using Stardock, it fails on the HeightMaps update and says "Module Request Failed: The module you have requested is no longer available." The version number remains 1.59[b].008.

Advice?

Thanks,

JC

We've had to reboot the server. Please try using US-1 and/or turning off Show pre-release versions.

I turned off "show pre-release versions" and tried again. Same error. I'm not sure how to specify the US-1 server though. Where do I do that?

Thanks,

JC

Never mind - I found it. It is already set on US-1. I still get the error though. I might also add that it doesn't look like it's downloading anything, when I click "update" it counts down from 3 and then gives the error.

Other ideas?

Thanks,

JC

Same problem here. Successfully updated GCII, but no luck with DA and the heightmaps....

You may also try hitting the Refresh XML button in SDC's internet options.

This is why I don't like computers anymore. They're always acting againt us. And make no mistake, it's the computers doing it!

Bee-keeping, that's the future!

Me and my bees (see the Stardock shirt?)

Tried US-1 and US-2, unchecked "show pre-release versions" and Refreshed XML button. No joy. Guess I need to do a complete uninstall and then reinstall??

Well....waited a bit and retried. DA updated successfully. Heightmaps is still going. Always seems to take forever to remove the temporary files.....but there. Just finished.

Mine failed on the auto app check update...Just browsing to it in the games folder and selecting the update button manually seems to be working though.

A very quick way around it...

FYI, the last post on this was 4 days ago, but this problem continues today. It looks like I was able to resolve by installing each module seperately. The "Removing temporary files" for Heightmaps step took an extraordinarily long time but it appears to have completed and as far as I can tall, GC2 is up to date now.
