Removing serial number

from GalCiv2 Forums
I was wondering. I have an original copy of galactic civ 2 and just purchased the gold edition. I was going to give the original game to a friend and wanted to unregister the serial so he could register under his name to get the updates. How do I go about unregistering the original game.

Sorry, but as written in the license you agreed to when you installed the game:

YOU MAY NOT:
2. Sublicense, rent, lease or transfer your personal serial number without express written consent from Stardock.

How does one go about getting "express written consent from Stardock" to "Sublicense, rent, lease" etc...?

Thanks for the quick reply. I love the game and have recommended it to many people. I was a little disappointed when i found out that I could not just buy the expansion but had to buy the gold edition in order to get a box and instructions. Now I have the original game that is not really any good to me. I was hoping to give it to a friend so he could try it out. Anyways I think you guys rock and appreciate the way you update and continue to add new content. Keep up the good work.
