Bugs in latest version

I'm getting out of memory errors saving to disk / autosaving in the latest beta version after playing 20-40 turns. This is consistently repeatable and happens on two different PCs with radically differing hardware (ATI vs. NVIDIA and AMD vs. Intel).

I also note that with the pirates mega-event, the pirates will not attack minor races.
