Stardock Central Slow Download

First and most importantly, GalCiv2:DA is the best stretagy game. I'm a big fan of RTS such as Command & Conquer and have never really played turn-based strategy. However, GalCiv2:DA totally kept me infront of my laptop for hours!

Now to the point.. I'm expriencing very slow download speeds when updating my DA, in between 1kb/s and 10kb/s. Perhaps I am from Asia, Singapore but i hope stardock can fix this problem.

If you have fast internet yourself, then it's likely a poor intercontinental link. You can try switching servers in SDC's internet settings (there are two to choose from), but if it's the intercontinental link that is the problem then there's not much that can be done about it, unfortunately.

I just purchase Space Rangers 2 from TGN. During the first 45% of downloading SR2 using stardock central, i achieved an average download speed of 150 kb/s. However since then, I've only manage to get between 1 - 10 kb/s. As SR2 is a big application, it's taking ages to download. It's been 2 hrs and it's only move up by 4%!

Does Stardock central have the resume function? Where I can pause the download and resume it later? I'm thinking maybe there's heavy traffic at your server and shld either restart my connection or try downloading it later.

I hope stardock could improve the download speeds of your servers.

Am I the only one having slow downloads or it's common to all?

I'm trying to d/l Sapce Rangers + Space Rangers 2 now. I'm having problems with slow d/l speed. It jumps up and down but averages around 30-40KB which is about one tenth of my cable speed.

This has always been the case when updating any Stardock games I have - such as Gal Civ 2.
