Dark Avatar possible bug - missing parts

I've installed the latest beta version of DA (1.59[b].097 according to Stardock Central). I noticed that some parts of the ship's components vanished (for instance, the central part of the plasma weapons' barrell).
I use the Kyro's hull mod.
Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Can you give a screenshot showing exactly what is missing? It may be related to the graphic optimizations that have been made in the latest beta patches.

To post a screenshot, press the printscrn key while in the game, then switch out and paste the image in a graphics program and save it. Then upload it to a host such as imageshack.us and post the link here.

Looks like the 'spike' issue that was fixed in the last beta (do you have an AMD processor?).

Are you sure you have the latest patch? Check the version shown in the left corner of the main menu--there have been instances in the past of SDC saying the game was updated, when it actually wasn't.

In that case, both of you go ahead and post your debug.err files. You can find them in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar (or wherever you installed the game).

Well, few hours ago I have updated the drivers of my video card (NVIDIA Geforce 6600) to the latest version (ForceWare 94.24). Then I've updated DA via the Stardock Central. Now the Stardock Central reports version 1.59[b].098, but in the lower left part of the game's main menu appears version 1.6 beta 6 (by the way, why this difference?).
After that I've loaded the game I was playing: nothing changes, the missing parts are still missing. Then I've started a new game: this time the special structure in the generic tab indicated by the white hollow arrows in the picture above is ok; no missing parts. As for the plasma weapon, I can't say, because I would have to play for a long time in order to reach the plasma technology. However it's reasonable to think that the problem has been resolved.

The 'real' version number in SDC won't roll over to 1.6 until the final release.
