cant download to vista

i bought a new game in when i put the cd in it says GalCiv2.exe launch has failed collecting information (which it never does) i've followed other advice from other posts (didnt help)someone help me

If the launcher will not run, just open the disc in explorer and run setup.exe directly. If this is the original version of the game (not gold edition), it may take a few minutes after you run setup before it will fire up (Vista tries to scan the whole disc before it will let it run).
