Halo has a very deep back story. I for one would like to see some ships like the Pillar of Autumn or Truth and Reconciliation. Sadly I have no idea how to do something like that.

Putting Halo into GalCiv2 would be the mental equivalent of modding a game like Deus Ex into a run-and-gun Quake shooter.

thank anyway for the help
i'll have to mess around with the shipyard option to try and make look-a-like Pillar of Autumn

Halo Wars is an RTS that takes place on the ground though, and I think it's centered mostly around combat, with very little diplomacy and trading to be found    GalCiv isn't that kind of game. You can play it that way, but it's still apples and oranges. You could mod a little green soldier in the currently awesome ground war effects if you wanted to though. That'd be worth a laugh.

Don't get me wrong, I like Halo, but it doesn't mesh well with GalCiv. There aren't enough races, there aren't enough ships per race that are available, and what is known (to my knowledge) is all based around planetary craft, and only a few actual space vessels.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few one off ships, just for the fun of them, but a full on Halo mod is a bit silly. I'm not up to date on all of the Halo Lore, but I still think anything anyone could do would be highly based on artistic license.

I wouldn't hate it if someone did it, and I'd probably use the ships for my personal use if they were high quality, but Halo doesn't fit right in with GalCiv. Unless of course you're talking about two separate but interesting video games that I've wasted a lot of time on, and in that case you'd have to exclude halo 2's horrible horrible horrible horrible campaign mode. Multiplayer barely passed the bar on the sequel too.... Lets hope 3 is half as good as the original, and twice as good as 2.

You could always download that free 3d program and do it yourself too and amaze everyone with your quick learning skills and fun Halo ships. I think it's called Blender, someone else will know. (or buy 3dmax if you've got a little pocket change sitting under the sofa)
