help please

Weather this is in the right place im not sure, first time iv been on the forums side of the site, but my problem is my pc went a bit awol 2 weeks back and after spended them to weeks gettin it workin again i re installed gal civ 2 to my pc but unlike last time when i could go into the game it comes up a black screen and then freezes at first i thought it was the disk( disk2) so i put disk one in and then the same happened again can someone help me?

Try installing the latest drivers for your graphics card.

ahh i got geforce 7300 gt graphics card, i believe i installed my latested drivers to work on a few game i had but never worked because of my old graphics card, but before i clicked play after re installing it, i done undate game if that has anything to do with it

right iv just uninstalled and RE installed the game but its still doin what its done before i click play game and then freezes on a black screen but i can move the cursor( the ingame ) i waited for a while but nothing anyone know how i can solve this? also anyone no where i could possibly find the lastest drivers for my graphics card?

Go to your install directory C:/ProgramFiles/Stardock/TotalGaming/GC2 and look to see if the game started up enough to generate a debug.err. If so, Open it with notepad and paste it in a reply here. That may give some clue as to what the problem is.

Also, make sure your color depth setting is on 32bit. The game won't run in 16 bit and in fact has been known to do what you described if tried that way.
