Backing Up saved games

I'm going to format my computer in the next few days and I was wondering if I could backup my saved games somehow and how I'd go about doing it. I've not got any mods installed so any help would be appreciated

All of your saved games, ship designs, customized races, and settings are stored in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2 for DL, and My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar for DA. Just grab the whole folder and you'll be set.
