What's the funniest thing you have seen on these forums?

Quirky comment, smart arse response, what got you giggling?

Hi all, after spending the last year or more as a frequent user on this forum i got to thinking. As useful as this forum is in GalCiv talk, i have found it to be a great place to find a laugh or two as well. Be it a quirky comment in an AAR or an off topic subject or even the many, many smart ass responses/posts, i have found myself having quite the chuckle, something i did not expect to find here, and have not seen on other game forums. (Rise of Nations comes to mind here....sigh!)

So, what got you laughing......

For me, it was a recent post from Wheeloffire, in a locked thread about some web snafu. His rant had me in stitches, i won't elaborate, it is locked after all, but his wonderful and frequent use of "Stupid Motherfracker" had my laughing for some time, and it has had a lasting effect.

Stupid Motherfracker has been in my vocabulary since and always brings a smile to my face when i say it.

So what say you all, what has had you in stitches?

Neilo.

Well thank you... I think . Sometimes I get a little bit 'out of hand' but you know how it goes, especially when posting from work. There are waaaay too many posts in here that have brought me a good chuckle or two... the one about Mumblefratz in a maid outfit was one of the more recent 'memorable' ones .
I've tried to 'tone down' my rants as of late, as some of you might have already noticed. Maybe I'm getting too old to be mean all the time, I don't know really. But there have been a few moments in the past week or two where I found it quite hard to 'hold my tongue' or fingers or whatever you would call it. As you can tell though, nothing pisses me off more than when this game goes all buggy on me and I simply cannot help myself from ranting.
Getting yelled at by Cari has actually intimidated me a little bit... maybe that's why I've toned things down a bit.
Wheeloffire however is an act that not even I can follow (envy setting in now). Regardless of whether the man is right or wrong, he can hang with the best of them and still have you feeling like a piece of s@*t at the end of it all. I LOVE that man's style!
Too bad he hasn't been around more lately. There's been a few posters that I would have liked to witness him laying into.

The funniest thing i see on these forums is people talking about the new sims games. The funny (or scary) part is imagining how much of my brain would need to be removed before i could be dumb enough to actually find those games entertaining

Oh i saw a very funny thing on the news last night here in Australia... some looser made a computer game on the university masacre. I had to laugh because it was in such bad taste! anyway the game just looks like south park and about as good in animation too (crap).

A fellow Aussie Mystikmind, cool! Can't say i'm a fan of the Sims games either, and i have never, ever laughed at South Park....

I love 'em cause you get to BUILD! As far as the actual 'sim' I pretty much just abuse the hell out of them until they grow old and die! It's all about the architecture to me.

I thought the Sims was pretty entertaining until I realized what I was doing and asked myself why I was spending hours playing house and flirting with myself. I do think that it's a high quality game in terms of art, music and mechanical detail, though.

That's pretty funny, in and of itself!

Bah, I never liked the SIMs...I can take a piss, and eat, without the need to simulate it.

The guy who posted saying he considered his machine "top end", then listed specs of a Celeron 1.7, 512Mb RAM and integrated intel graphics, or something like that.

That was funny (in a geeky sort of way)

So your Aussi Neilo? cool, As for south park, well obviously the voiceovers are hillarious but if they think i would ever let them slip somthing buy me that has such half assed lame anomation, well they have got to be kidding themselves. Maybe in 2001. Perhaps he has a Delorean?

George Bush He comes off as such a buffoon, he can't really be as stupid as the media makes out can he?
From what I heard, he comes across as much more confident and composed when dealing with individuals and small groups of people. But jeez, put that man in front of a camera or a crowd and he's a mess.

So yeah, I think he's definitely more intelligent than he sometimes appears.

Na, he would be a smart guy i reakon. I actually like him more when i hear the funny slips of the toungue he makes, to me it just prooves that he is really saying what he is saying and not just delivering pre concieved text given to him by his advisors (which is what most politicians do).

Those "funny slips" as you say are because the man is Dyslexic, just no one will admit it publicly. They ran a story on it about a year ago or so in the Pittsburgh Press and there was also a one hour 'documentary' style show on the History Channel or one of those variants, I can't recall which one exactly because they're all pretty much the same to me.
This is the true reason both his mother and his wife are active in the pro-reading circles.

Well all modern American presidents have had speech writers. It makes sense that the current American president should have one. He’s had a lot of somewhat damaging criticism about his errors. If he were better prepared and reviewed or practiced his speeches he might have more success. Even I reveiw waht I wirte befor I post it. except "when I write about gramar or, maganizes).

Just rude?
Dude,
I must be in a good mood.
At your intellectual pace,
you retort with the old skool "buttface."
You think you sent a shard
But you only proved yourself as a tard.
Now you're covered in the mud
of my lyrical asstastic crapflood.

I just recently heard Bushe's statement... "it will take time to restore kaos".

Not wishing to offend anyone but i have to say that i have never heard a politician say somthing so funny in my entire life!! I mean a stand up comedian taking the piss out of Bush couldn't do a better job than Bush himself!!!

I really am begining to love this president, hoestly, keep up the good work!
