Diplomatic Help Needed

When i play GC2 I have been use small universe with like 2 enenemy cibilizations but now i have been using larger maps with more enemy civilizations and i always get to the point were im at war with all 5 civilizations and there all friendly with each other how do i stop the massive war because paying them cash just makes me poor.
P.S.-There on beginner difficulty

Research diplomatic tech (yellow) , keep up or ahead with your military and trade with them.

Check alignment too !

Or if you're still having alot of trouble in that area try using some of the racial points you get during setup to max out diplomacy.(Though I personally only do this if I'm playing the Terrans in the Dark Avatar expansion)

Also in the "earlish" part of the game, i.e. once races have militaries, pay them to go to war with eachother, keeps the A.I. relationtionships low and also give you the diplomatic bonus from each of those races at war of "+Too Busy to Risk War with you"
