I apologise for being a "dick".

Always accepted Marcus! Although I do believe that 'most' of us who 'tussle' with you from time to time have thicker hides than to take things personally so no sweat... at least from me.

I enjoy the "tussle". My only concern is that it stays polite. If not, then Kryo will take our sandbox away and I would miss it.

This is why I was wrong. I didn't, and it showed.
My hide has always been like tyre rubber , but now my tongue is stapled inside mt cheek.





I do know the power of kryo, far too well. it definitely would be a shame to spoil the free reign of te "off topic" sandbox. this is one of the reasons why I needed to post this.

I find your posts to be very interesting. But at this point I'm going to be staying away from political discussions on this forum. I too feel that I've been a "dick" in those discussions at some point, whereas I didn't mean to be at all. It's just very easy for people to misinterpret what you're saying, and it's also easy to make statements which could be easily misinterpreted.

But I think the extraordinarily large reaction to your posts shows that you're tapping into a need that many people have to discuss these issues. So, for all of our sakes, don't stop unless you feel that you must.

Trust me, I've been there, I think the people i have been offensive to know, no names

I just asked a question, they just posted answeres to other members posts. thats why some threads keep going,

I love this. not my original threads but th debate after. if that seems odd to some then maybe join or not, I have an opinion thats all, and try not to be swayed into personal bull, like i have been. this iswhy I am humble.

Its not only the fact that you insult, is that you influence others to stoop down to that level. And the air of unfriendlyness stays even after you 'retire' from a thread.

Your apollogy is accepted, but what I want to see is an actual effort to be friendly.

Aw come on GreatEmperor, give him some slack. Not all of us 'naturally' play nice, not saying that you aren't nice Marcus   , therefore we can't expect every online personality we come across to be happy-go-lucky. It takes some 'chutzpah' to post an apology and actually 'mean' it, as Marcus has, so let's leave well enough be and not 'ask' anymore of it. Not chastising with this, just saying be happy with his effort, an effort which he alone put forth without provocation from any of us.

You're right, Actions are better, But I have not always been unthinking in my posts, I have on most occasions done my best to help and encourage people.

I just hope my recent sillyness hasn't spoiled this.

Hmmm reading your posts here, it almost seems your a different person? That reminds me of how annoying it would be if somone gets hold of your identity and says things in your name, then when you log on everyone hates you! luckily it never happened to me as yet. (apart from my split personality dissorder!! eeek, lol)

I know a person that that once happened too luckily everyone relised it wasnt him.

i've definately said a thing or two that are at least boarderline (at one point, something to the effect, "you make me want to insult you," which is just as bad as insulting).

i think there are two things happening. some people are easily offended by this stuff because the debate makes them realize how poorly thought-out their own views are. on the other hand, it's very easy to become passionate and overbearing when things like religion, national pride and economic wellbeing are discussed.

i'd say, turn down the dick-acting side, not the questioning side. the only harm questioning ever did to anyone was... well, hemlock.

Gosh, Marcus, please don't feel that you have to apologize to me. The threads that you have started have generated more replies than I can ever recall from one poster in such a short length of time. If nothing else, you have proved that it is possible to have a civilized discussion about difficult issues.
