Possible to Mod Angry/Happy Movies?

I created a set of portraits for some of my custom opponents, one for neutral, one for happy, and one for angry. I figured out how to set the Neutral portrait pretty easily, but I'm wondering if there's a way I can have the Angry and Happy pictures show up when relations are bad or good?

The pictures are PNGs right now if that helps any.

The forums have a logic of their own, quite possibly voodoo of some sort, it's not worth trying to understand

As far as I know there is only one static trade image. To have something different for each mood you have to use movies. Have a look at the RaceConfig.xml file, the tags are mostly self explanatory.

The forums "active" topics are updated like...every 10-15 minuits, so it seems. Possibly the result of a slow server? But about your topic, I dont have a clue, sorry.

I'm talking about the movies that show up when you bring up the tech trading screen. I tried changing them in the Race's file to the .PNG Images I had, but it doesn't seem to have worked. Is there a particular location I need to specify? I have them in the movies folder under mygames/galciv2/darkavatar/gfx/movies.

So, it has to be an actual movie, no way to use an image?

Seems that way. You can make your own videos using the RAD Video Tools.
