Population. More population, more people paying taxes.
Build banks and such to increase the amount you collect.
Increase spending and tax rate to make more or less BC as needed.

What you need is a currency exchange. How many BC do you need? Make a check out to tetleytea, in dollars, and I will give you BC back at the current exchange rate. You're welcome!

You also need planets for the tax payers to live on.

I usually try and keep my taxes on click above the red;o) and if I am in jepordy of loosing I will kick it up to 100% for a few turns to help out and if it gets me out of a tight spot i then kick it back down, and I try and *never* buy something that takes my bc into the negative. Oh and what the op's said to;o)

In a game with a lot anomalies you can also make nice amounts of money early on by sending out a swarm of survey-ships, which then can finance your colony-rush, which in end will result in more tax revenues/production/research....but in the short term will result in a huge deficit.

Hi!
i don't exactly know how to make BC what makes it?

BC is an acronym for Billion Credits and represents money in this game. The primary source of it is taxation of your empire's population. You can get more money by several other means:
- from exploring anomalies,
- researching a tech branch of econ-enhancing techs and buildings,
- researching a government branch tree, that gives 10%, 20% and 30% econ bonus,
- mining a green resource(s) that gives bonus to econ,
- increasing the morale ability of your empire will allow you to safely rise taxes,
- establishing trade routes with trade ships,
- obtaining the economic treaty(es) and
- just simple selling your stuff for money.

Only thing that has worked for me so far is colonizing a planet, building 3 factories, then nothing but banks, adding a farm when the population reaches 6 billion, then another when it reachs 9 billion. You still won't make a lot until you research stock markets. And one planet won't be enough, either. This game is like what would happen if Scrooge were reincarnated as a video game.

Farms are only necessary if you have reached the population limit, based on the current amount of food produced on the planet. Don't build farms right away, as it will not be needed until much later after colonizing the planet. Also, be aware that if you build too many farms, and let the population grow to levels that are too high, eventually the approval rating will start to become very low for that planet due to the high population. For the dictatorship government (which you start with), this really shouldn't matter, but some of the later government types available through research require a high approval rating in order to win the elections which occur periodically. If you fail to win the elections, due to low approval rating, whichever party wins (which isn't your own party) applies it's inherent strengths as your weakness. If you have the war party government, and the federalists win (which have a 20% economy bonus), then your empire will suffer a 20% economic penalty.

should i just build farms on my main planet then?

No, when the population of a planet gets big, there are big penalties to morale. 15 billion is a good population for a money planet, build lots of economy buildings (markets, trade centers, banks, stock markets) here.

tnx; but it looks much better in email and on newsgroups; because in here I had to add a line to the top of the hilt and to the bottome or else the hand guard is at the end of the hilt instead of at where the blade starts. Here is how it comes out in here if done the way it is suppose to look without the added parts.
