Draginol?

I was looking through the english.str file and I saw a race called "Draginol". The race description underneath it mentioned that this was the same Draginol that created the Precursors and was supposedly defeated on Altaria. There were even a group of random events that were supposed to lead up to Draginol's "civilization" appearing in the game. Was this taken out, or is it just rare?

Ok galcivking or/and Lukas looking for the answer here it is:

from #sdcentral previously Lukas posted me the same question i dont know if its you but heres the answer

the file extension .str its like a dbase file that contains infoon it ive searched on wiki from galciv and Draginol this was the info i can tell you:
Yes Draginol created the Arnor using a device called the Telenath the Arnor are most known as the Precursors that after that split off into civil war with the side in favor of exterminating new sentients as they evolved as "Dread Lords".
According to the manual, the Dread Lords are closest to Draginol in character, but have smaller numbers, as well as a sense of time perception. The Arnor, on the other hand, are more numerous and have no time perception.
Then you say "and was supposedly defeated on Altaria" correct because he wasnt defeated because : According to Altarian legend, the dark Mithrilar, Draginol, had fallen to a then dead world called Altaria and for millions of years been buried The Mithlar never died only dissapeared!
His presence, even unconscious, altered the evolution of the Altarians such that there were two sentient races competing for the world

the random events that lead up to Draginol Civilization are the ones I told more info at :
WWW Link

so the answer is no that werent to be taken out since it is for historial purposes and no its not rare

Thanks. I just thought it was taken out because there were no reports I knew of that told of this event. I guess that it's one of the less common random events. However, I'm still curious about Draginol's civ. If anyone has seen it, please let me know.

P.S: I didn't know that someone else asked this. It's probably a coincidence.

Yes, I had already read that. But just to be certain, can someone ask the dev head if this even is in Dark Avatar?

I read it too, but I was wondering if the Draginol race exists in the game. Draginol, do you think you could tell us?

Draginol is not a race but the dark Mithrilar, driven mad because he is immortal but can sense the passage of time. I believe him to be DL Bradley, a human that traveled to the Dread Lord's pocket Universe. I believe he learned their secrets and more, became a god like being, returned to our Universe and traveled back in time to meet up with the other Mithrilar. Brad/Frogboy/Draginol is the CEO of Stardock and creator of GalCiv; he writes all the back stories for the races in the game, so only he can say for sure.

We had originally intended to include the Draginol and Arnor events from GalCiv1, which is why the text is there, but we never had time to adjust them for the new weapons system, and they don't make as much sense from a story perspective to include them in Dread Lords or Dark Avatar anyway.

How come? I got random event about Draginol in my game earlier today. The Korx were sacrificing their citizens to some kinda thing??? Makes for an interesting story in my DL game.

That one is different than the one that the OP was asking about.  You're referring to the Telenanth event.  It's just the crystal that Draginol used and it gives powers to the civilization that uses it.

Maybe you can include this random event in the next feature update. Only in sandbox and scenario mode.
