Hello All -

I've been an owner of GalCiv2 for quite a while now, and based on an e-mail sent from Stardock to me, I went to the store and picked up a copy of GalCiv2 Gold Edition. I do not currently have the Dark Avatar expansion pack. So if I install this, I'm thinking I'll get Dark Avatar, and maybe a few goodies, but most of the cost of the package will be for the GalCiv2 copy, which I already own? Is this in any way better than just buying the Dark Avatar expansion online? Are there any steps I should take (rebate submissions, etc) that I should do before I install this puppy?

Also, the $10 rebate form mentions that the original manual cover from GalCiv2 must be included - while I do in fact have a retail copy, if I ahd purchased this online, would I just be SOL?
